A kitchen cutting list: what it is, what it looks like, how to read it

The cutting list is the document a kitchen is actually built from: every panel with its size, material, edge banding per edge and the hardware list. Everything else — the drawing, the 3D, the layout — exists so this list can be produced without mistakes.

What one row of the list holds

• —Panel code and name: P1 Side, P2 Bottom, F1 Door… The code ties the row to the drawing and to the drilling scheme.
• —Finished size: the panel as it sits in the cabinet, edge banding included. A base side is 720 × 560; the door on a 600 cabinet is 716 × 596.
• —Cut size: the finished size less the banding on banded edges. A 716 × 596 door with 2 mm banding on all four edges is cut at 712 × 592.
• —Banding per edge: which edge carries banding and how thick — carcasses usually 0.5 mm on the visible edge, fronts 2 mm on all four.
• —Quantity and material: how many pieces, from which board (decor, thickness).

Who gets which column

A shop running Wintable (Agacija, Tis…) wants finished sizes — their program deducts the banding itself. A joiner who cuts and bands himself works from the cut column. That is why the list carries both, each labelled with who it is for.

What else the list carries

• —Hardware: hinges by door height (two up to 720 mm, three at 925), runners per drawer, legs, hanging brackets, confirmat screws.
• —Notes per cabinet: a drawer wider than 800 mm carries a warning about the box racking; pieces under 150 mm carry instructions for the cutting shop.
• —Totals: boards per decor, metres of banding per thickness — what actually gets ordered.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a cutting list if my carpenter has his own software?

Ask what he uses. In a Wintable shop, the package with the WTINPUT file saves all the retyping; for hand work, the PDF list is the common language — every number on paper can be checked.

Can I get a cutting list without a carpenter?

Yes: draw the kitchen in the planner — the layout and material estimate are free, and the full list is a paid document, per the pricing page.

What if the list has a mistake?

A mistake in the list means a refund — it is in the terms of sale. That is why the same numbers that make the list also draw the 2D and the 3D: the document cannot say one thing and the image another.
