The question "how much does a made-to-measure kitchen cost" has no single number for an answer — but it has an exact procedure. The price has three parts, and only one of them can be worked out in advance, to the dinar.

The three parts of the price

• —Material: board for carcasses and fronts, hardboard for backs, edge banding, hardware (hinges, runners, legs, handles) and the worktop. This is 40–60% of the price and the only part you can calculate up front.
• —The carpenter's labour: cutting or ordering the cutting, edge banding, assembly and fitting. Agreed with the carpenter and driven by complexity — corner cabinets, handleless profiles and non-standard sizes raise it.
• —Appliances: oven, hob, extractor, dishwasher, fridge. Bought separately; the carpenter only builds them in.

Why the material can be calculated in advance

Every kitchen comes down to a list of panels: side 720 × 560, bottom 564 × 560, door 716 × 596… Once every panel is known, so is the number of boards, the metres of edge banding and every piece of hardware. That is arithmetic, not an estimate.

• —Corner cabinets cost more per usable metre: half the corner depth is out of reach.
• —Small items add up: soft-close hinges, full-extension runners, handleless profiles — each line sits in the estimate separately, so you see what carries how much.
