For carpenters

From measurement to cutting list in 30 minutes: a carpenter's planner workflow

The customer brings measurements; half an hour later the carpenter has a layout, an estimate, a 3D for the customer and the cutting files. The whole flow.

The classic flow: the customer brings measurements, the carpenter spends the evening over paper, then phones the shop and dictates sizes. The planner flow: half an hour, most of it talking to the customer. Here is what it looks like in practice.

The first ten minutes: the layout

Enter the room into the planner — walls, ceiling, windows, doors and existing service points. "Suggest a layout" gives the starting variant: sink by the drain, hob with the extractor, fridge away from the hob. Every further click gives another variant, and every cabinet can then be moved or swapped by hand — with the customer next to the screen.

The next ten: choices and the estimate

Decors with board photos, the worktop, handles or a gola profile — every change recalculates the estimate at once. A carpenter on a plan works with HIS OWN prices here: the personal price list overrides ours, so the customer looks at the numbers he will actually pay.

The last ten: the documents

One click on "Generate documents" spends one request from the monthly quota and returns everything at once:

  • the cutting list (PDF) with finished and cut sizes,
  • the WTINPUT (.TAB) that Agacija or Tis load without retyping,
  • DXF for CNC drilling, CSV for your own software,
  • the assembly guide and the installations plan.

Everything comes from one calculation, so the list, the drawing and the 3D cannot disagree. The project stays in history; a change after generating goes into a copy, which spends a new request only when documents are generated for it.

Frequently asked questions

What if the customer changes his mind after generating?

Copy the project, change it, generate again — the consumed project stays untouched in history, as proof of what was delivered to whom.

Does it work with my material prices?

Yes: a personal price list per item (boards, banding, hardware) in the carpenter panel. The estimate and the customer quote calculate from it.

What does it cost me per kitchen?

The plan splits its price across the request quota — the arithmetic is on the plans page, along with exactly what each document contains.
